Just came back from Cambodia on monday and im really missing it there already, i miss the freedom the animals have there!!! The pigs are just walking wherever they wanna walk. ahahahah! And God's people there are amazing=] But the political system isnt though. God is working there and He's gonna do wonders=]
Well i guess, going to Cambodia really opened my eyes to a lot of things like poverty, a need for God in many of their lives as well as the persecuted church and as usual it got me thinking.

How much are we in this together? I always remember seeing video clips and tapes about poverty in other countries and i felt so sad and helpless, but did my actions ever reflect how i felt? No. I waste food, i waste money, waste electricity, i take things for granted. When i was there, i couldnt bear to waste the food and i really made myself eat the things that i usually hate cos i couldnt bear to waste food, knowing that there are those out there struggling to survive.
So back to the song. Yes we cry, we cry together for the brokeness of this world, of the physical earth as well as the morality of this world. But what are we doing about it? Are we doing whatever we can?
In Cambodia there arent any rubbish bins so if you wanted to throw something away youd just have to throw it on the ground, i.e. litter. Coming from Singapore, i just couldnt do it so i went around looking for a bin. Then one of the kids from the trip told me, "Just throw on the floor la, its the bin! Its already so dirty, your litter wouldnt make a difference." But i saw a point that God was trying to make to me: the little effort there is, as long as He grows that effort, it can create a whole new world. It didnt matter if there was no physical difference, but if i tried to make a difference, i could influence others and God will make a difference in them if He wants to.
The little things we do influence others. Dont wait for someone to change, you change and see the world transform in God's hands.
Religion, religion is gain. Its all about wanting to gain something from some being. But Christianity aint a religion, its something thats difficult for the world to understand. To the world, beauty, wealth, prosperity, talents and intelligence are Strengths. But to God and to me, all these are weaknesses. They bring self glorification which leads to a spiritual defeat. God uses the weak and foolish in the eyes of the world because in them God is BIG, God is STRONG. In human weakness, comes the greatest strength we can ever have.
Have you been able to look past the appearance of someone to see someone in need? To see someone hungry?
Have you ever thought of how a criminal is desperately in need of deliverance and acceptance?
Have you ever thought of how the sick need healing?
Have you ever thought of how a cheater could be transformed because of how you can change his life?
Have you been able to look past the appearance and the history of a person to see a person that God loves, a person that Jesus died for, a person that God can transform?
Look through Jesus' eyes.
He said,"IMAGINE. A world worshipping Me and only Me. IMAGINE. No more pain, just Salvation."
And im waiting til that day comes=]

Yay i realised that the aussie dollar is like super below ours now and the pound is reducing too! ahahahaha some benefits of economic crisis: shopping in other countries becomes cheaper! WOOOHOOO! Lets all go now. now. now. aahahahhahah
I hope the previous post helped some people realise that money isnt everything.. Why store up something that is perishable? Why store up something that people can steal? Whats the worth there then?
"Shall we accept good from God and not trouble?"
My friend mentioned this, like why dont people say "Praise God!" when good things happen but ask "Where's God?" when bad things happen? Do we have the right to question the presence of God in the bad things when we dont even acknowledge His presence in all the good things that have happened in our lives?
And even when bad things do happen, we, mere humans who can die so easily just because of a disaster from mother nature, blame God. Who ever said that our lives were ours? We never made this earth, how would we know?

ahahahahhaha! But yeah, this is the time where we should rejoice. Why?
Because, as Joseph's dad said,
"In a crisis, we see who Christ is."
WOOOHOOOO! I think thats a super cool catchphrase-y thingy. ahahahah!
Well, why rejoice? We should rejoice, because we will see more souls saved. We should rejoice because people will run to God. We should rejoice because WHEN God saves all of those who have Faith in Him, His wonderous glory will be seen in all of the earth. We should rejoice because the this is the time when the world suddenly seems dim and your eyes will be cleared to see the amazing saving grace of God=]
It may seem evil, or mean, or whatever, but when my youth church leader told us to pray for the people who may be threatened to lose their jobs, i didnt feel right. I felt super uncomfortable. And i realised that I wanted to see those people, who have been working their lives away, neglecting their wives and husbands, neglecting their children, neglecting parents, neglecting friends and worst of all, neglecting God.
Our society has been blessed with physical riches, such as money and blah, but we've all started to die inside, we've stopped listening to God once life got comfortable, we started to ignore Him once we had money, once we led peaceful lives, forgetting that all that was given to us was and is and will be from God.
This was when i kinda, well, wanted God to take the jobs away from those people, those people who've lost sight of everything except money and riches, those people who have let their heart die, those whove turned their back on those whove called out to them. Sounds evil, but i feel so at ease with that, that it's what God will do. And i admit, i do fear for my parents too, but when it comes, i know God will be with us and He will provide as long as we trust Him. Besides, Singapore has loads of grass to feed on!=DD
I guess why i decided to post this today was to give those who think that theyve lost hope, Hope. not hope, Hope. One that comes from Jesus Christ our Saviour.
What are you working hard for?
Why? For whom?
If you want money to enjoy, when is the "enjoy" part ever going to come when you dont stop?
If you want a future, studying doesnt always lead to one.
If you want love, humans are just never enough.
If you want rest, sleeping is just temporary.
If you want, theres only One who can satisfy.
Money; I remember God telling me when i looked at my last few notes in my wallet and feeling the worry of not having enough to use,"Its just paper, when it burns, it turns into ash. What i have is eternal provision, it'll never burn, never."

Yes yes i was watching meet the robinsons. But i kinda knew this song before i watched it. But its so soothing to the soul, especially when youre down or what.. Go listen to it! Its really nice=]
Well this song suddenly made me think back on a lot of the things in life and i realise that there are many things that mean so much at that point of time but after that, you cant remember what it is anymore.. At that point in time, it was of so much importance and yet after its over, you realise how insignificant it actually is, that there were so many other things that you should have spent more time on, things that were and still are important, like friends, family, relationships and opportunities.
Like in the song "time falls away, but these small hours still remain".. We cant remember everything forever, and time waits for no man, so which hours do you hope will remain and what will you create to let remain in your life?
"Our lives are made in these small hours" These are the hours we will remember when we look back in life; its like your life picture; how dyou want your painting to look?
My painting is incomplete; there are small hours of my life i dont like and there are some that i want to keep remembering forever, there are parts still empty, so many things i want to do, so many things planned for me to do. I dont know what's coming, but i'll trust God to paint my picture for me cos painting it myself is tiring and it just turns out ugly, but God's paintings... Have you seen the sky recently?
This isnt a picture you find on the internet when you type "nice sky".. Its a photograph of a sunrise in Thailand during my dad's mission trip and you may say, "also not Singapore", but have you stopped to look at that sky thats painted for you everyday?
Have you taken time to breathe?
